Hi Robert, no idea if you're going to receive this but I couldn't find your email. I was listening to your Frisby series, which is brilliant, and I heard you guys discussing Plato and wondering whether or not he had written anything on topics such as gold and money. I have just read his complete works and there's a short chapter/book in it which talks about property, money, silver, and gold. It's a philosophic text about what property actually is and I think you would love reading it. The text is called Eryxias and you can find it on page 1730 of the Complete Works of Plato. here's a link http://sqapo.com/CompleteTextPlatosEryxias.htm

I appreciate the history lessons to which this article has been devoted. I did want to address your devotion to Andrew Jackson. I do have a problem with it. Tom Bilyeu gave you an interview in which you gave many good points about currency. I watched for two hours and learned a lot. Even the analogy about Gutenburg and books was great, I could relate because I'm a printmaker.

The only thing is, your ideology of Jackson bugs me.

Between 1812 and 1820, Jackson's enslaved population increased from twenty to forty-four. By the time he was a president, he owned nearly one hundred slaves; a state inventory following Jackson's death counted 161 slaves, split between The Hermitage and a Mississippi plantation. He controlled a lot of people's "arms" and built his legacy on the backs of his "property".

Maybe you could rethink that portion of your philosophy. Like I said, You have a lot of good information to share with people. We need your knowledge and intelect. Black people tend to be touchy when you idealize a president's morality in this context, especially one with Jackson's history.
